The Cherub Choir perform throughout the year, but their main performance is with the older children as part of the annual First Presbyterian Tupelo Joy Gift Program. Next year Mari will join Jake and the other Cherubs, but for this year she got to sit in the balcony with us (James, myself and both sets of our parents). Afterwards we all headed to the fellowship hall for, you guessed it-more cookies!
When the cherubs first came out there was some very excited "Jake!, Jake!" from the balcony and Jake kept telling people "That's my sister Mari". They both were so excited to see each other! It is amazing what an afternoon apart will do for siblings (Jake had to go to church early to practice). Luckily, they quieted down in time for the singing to begin.
